How do you cut a wedding cake?
On your cake table, there should be a plate, a knife and a napkin. Your photographer or venue manager may be standing by to help.
But you and your new spouse hold the knife and cut a slice together, usually out of the bottom tier of the cake. Then get it on the plate. It doesn’t matter how it looks - it may be the most mangled piece of cake ever, but don't worry no one can see it but you two.
Then with fingers or forks, you feed each other a piece of cake. Some people save that top tier of cake for the one year anniversary. Use the napkin to clean up, then enjoy a sip of champagne from your toasting flutes!
