If you’re having wedding cake, should you cut it before or after dinner?
Well it depends. If your cocktail hour is in another room, then your guests won't get a chance to see the cake in the ballroom, so you’ll wanna cut your cake AFTER dinner so everyone has a chance to ooh and aah and get a picture of it.
BUT if your cake is tall, with multiple tiers, and no sheet cake in the kitchen, then your caterer needs time to slice it and have it ready to serve to your guests. In THAT case, cutting your cake before dinner will prevent a delay AFTER.
