What Music Gets Played at My Wedding Ceremony? How Do I Pick My Wedding Ceremony Music?
With your One Minute Wedding Tips, I’m the Pefect Host, Jim Cerone.
Let’s talk about your music for your ceremony.
The Prelude is the music that plays about 30 minutes beforehand, while your guests arrive and find their seats.
Processionals are 1, 2 or 3 songs that play when your VIP guests are seated, your officiant, the groom, groomsmen, bridesmaids, flowergirl, ringbearer and YOU “process” down the aisle to take your place up front for the ceremony itself.
Your Recessional is that song that plays AFTER you’re married, as you and your new spouse walk OUT while everyone cheers!
There’s also something called Postlude music. That plays as your guests exit the ceremony site and head to cocktails.
We’ll talk about your ceremony music in detail at your planning session. You can also check out my ceremony playlists on Spotify.
