1 Minute Wedding Tips - Where DJ Sets Up - Wedding Room Layout

Does It Matter Where My DJ Sets Up? Where Should My DJ Be?

The Perfect Host, Jim Cerone, with your One Minute Wedding Tips.

When we meet, we’re going to discuss your room layout in detail. Will you sit at a sweetheart table together? Or will you have a head table? Where will your cake be? Where is your dance floor?

So that your guests can hear speeches, and so there’s lots of energy on the dance floor – the DJ system needs to be centrally located. One of the biggest things I’ll do as your DJ is watch the room and read the crowd. I’ll need to be able to see during your grand entrance, the toasts, your first dance and open dancing.

The great thing is speakers are smaller than ever. My equipment is flexible and can be set up in different ways. I’ll confirm the final diagram with you and your venue so your party rocks from start to finish!

1 Minute Wedding Tips - Mother Son Song

What Song for Mother Son Dance? How Do I Find the Right Song For Mother Son Dance?

These are your One Minute Wedding Tips and I’m The Perfect Host, Jim Cerone.

If you decide to dance with your Mom, how do you chose that song?

There’s lots of songs written for dads and daughters, but not that many for mothers and sons.

To start, I’ll ask you lots of questions, like who’s your mom's favorite singer? Was there something she played in the car a lot when she was driving you around? Who does she go to see in concert?

And, because I know you and your Mom don’t wanna be in the spotlight for too long, yes, I can shorten that dance. With my background in radio, I know how to make smooth edits to make the song shorter without anyone even noticing.

When we meet to plan your wedding, I'll ask yo/ questions to help you find the perfect song for your dance with your mom. You can also check out my Ultimate Mother/Son playlist on Spotify.
